Central Plains Type V Cement

Built for Sulfate Environments

Type V Portland cement is used in concrete exposed to severe sulfate environments – principally where soils or groundwater have a high sulfate content. It gains strength more slowly than Type I cement. The high sulfate resistance of Type V cement is attributed to low tricalcium aluminate content, not more than 5%.
